Karma for Shapinsky and Herrera, Humility for Me

Way back in the late 1970′s and early 80′s I sold my artwork at The Kathryn Markel Gallery in New York. This was my hand-carved rubber stamp period.
My work sold really well at that time, and I would bring a new batch up every month or two to replenish Kathryn’s stock. I have to say I was feeling pretty good about having a successful time at a New York Gallery. I was down-right chuffed. (more…)
